How do I log out and exit my browser?
Your UW NetID login lasts eight hours or until you exit your browser. To protect your privacy, you must completely exit all of your browser sessions and windows when you are done with Career Connections. Otherwise, if someone else uses the computer after you, they would have access to your personal information.
To exit from your browser:
- Windows Internet Explorer: Close ALL windows. On the File menu select Close (shortcut key Ctrl+W) for each open window.
- Windows Netscape: Exit the Netscape application. On the File menu select Exit (shortcut key Ctrl+Q).
- Macintosh Netscape or Internet Explorer: Quit your browser application. On the File menu select Quit, or use the shortcut key Command+Q. Warning: Closing all the open windows is not sufficient on a Macintosh. You must quit your browser application as well.
