Annual Events
Each year, the UW Alumni Association organizes a wide variety of events intended to connect UW alumni and members to each other and to the university.

Alumni TravelsAlumni Tours  Each year, the Alumni Tours department offers more than 40 exciting tours to exotic destinations. Over the past 26 years, we've taken alumni all over the world. Our itineraries have included visits to the Aegean, Africa, Alaska, the Amazon, Antarctica, the Antebellum South, the Arabian Gulf, the Atlantic Coast, Australia, Austria, and that's just the beginning! Our tours combine adventure and insight with the delightful camaraderie of fellow UW alumni.

MAP Bridging the Gap BreakfastBridging the Gap Breakfast  The Multicultural Alumni Partnership sponsors this breakfast on homecoming weekend to recognize distinguished alumni and promote diversity. The proceeds from this event support minority student scholarships.

Coaches TourCoaches Tour  Started in 1971, the Coaches Tour brings together alumni and friends with Husky Coaches for a day of golf, followed by an evening dinner. These events, held at eight locations across Washington State, are co-sponsored by the alumni association and the athletic department. Proceeds from the tournaments provide scholarships for UW students from the regions where tournaments are held.

Dawg DashDawg Dash  Since 1986, the UWAA has presented this annual run and walk. The race, which winds through the beautiful UW Campus in the fall, draws over 2,300 students, alumni and friends from throughout the state. Proceeds from this event benefit student scholarships.

Dawg Days in the DesertDawg Days in the Desert  Held in Palm Springs, Calif., each spring, this multi-day event offers alumni an opportunity to become reconnected to the University. The alumni association offers lectures from current faculty members, a golf tournament, and a dinner featuring noted University guests.

LecturesLectures  The alumni association and its academic clubs, in conjunction with campus units such as the College of Arts & Sciences and the School of Business, host a number of annual lecture series and luncheons. Focusing on diverse topics of wide appeal, these series highlight the intellectual resources of the University.

Lifelong Learning PartnershipLifelong Learning Partnership  The alumni association and the College of Arts & Sciences have joined together in a lifelong learning partnership to create events and programs for alumni, friends and the community. These programs call on the rich talents of the faculty and alumni and include such varied events as lecture series, arts, celebrations, and special recognition galas for College of Arts & Sciences' alumni of distinction. This partnership ensures participants a lifetime of discovery.

ReunionsReunions  Homecoming week welcomes graduates back to campus with reunion classes holding special activities. The alumni association traditionally sponsors events for classes celebrating their 50th year reunion.

Washington Warm UpsWashington Warm Ups  When the Huskies hit the road during football season, the alumni association organizes the pre-game events. Rallies include the Husky band and cheer squad, refreshments, souvenir giveaways, and Husky merchandise. These events always fire up Husky fans!

Washington WeekendWashington Weekend  Washington Weekend is an annual event featuring open houses, class reunions, lectures, tours, live entertainment, Husky sporting events and more for the campus community and the general public. It's a chance for everyone to come back to campus to enjoy all the University of Washington has to offer.

Welcome to WashingtonWelcome to Washington  A welcoming barbecue designed to welcome new students to the University. These events offer students the opportunity to meet future classmates, faculty members, alumni and current students. Location varies from year to year.
