Class of '59 Cherry Tree Project

About the Project
Following tradition, the Class of 1959 has presented a gift to the University. At our 1999 class reunion, we developed a plan to purchase a set of 30 young Yoshino cherry trees in 2000, and have them professionally cared for and planted in place of the Liberal Arts Quad's dying trees over the next 10 to 15 years.

Current situation
Existing trees are near end of life span. Many show distinct signs of age and disease. Click for more info...
