UWAA Lectures Volunteer Job Description
Program Description
The UW Alumni Association offers many lecture series on a wide variety of topics. Lectures are produced in partnership with academic units on all three UW campuses. Partners include the College of Arts & Sciences, the Foster School of Business, the College of the Environment, UW Bothell, UW Tacoma and many others. View a list of upcoming lectures.
Volunteer Benefits
Volunteers are granted free admission on a space-available basis to the event they assist with. Volunteers have an opportunity to engage in lifelong learning as well as meet and mingle with UW alumni and friends with similar interests.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet attendees
- Take tickets
- Assist with registration
Time Commitment
Volunteer commitment usually starts one hour prior to lecture and extends until all guests are seated.
Dates and Locations
Dates, times and locations vary. Most lectures and lecture series occur September through May. Many lectures are held in Kane Hall on the UW Seattle campus. Many lectures are in the evening, at 7 p.m.
