The UW Alumni Association provides resources to alumni and friends to learn about issues and topics affecting higher education and the University of Washington.

Non-Government Education Resources

• UW Impact: Informed Advocates of the University of Washington
  An interactive civic resource for UW alumni and friends.
• League of Education Voters
  A non-profit organization dedicated to engaging individuals and the media in support of quality education for all students in Washington state—from preschool through college.
• Association of American Universities
  A non-profit association of 62 universities that focuses on national and institutional issues important to research-intensive universities, including funding for research, research and education policy, and graduate and undergraduate education.

UW Resources

• UW State Relations Office
  This office works to advance the academic and legislative agenda of the University with state legislators and state agency officials. The site includes a blog tracking significant activity occurring during Washington’s legislative session.
• UW Office of Planning and Budgeting
  Provides analysis to guide planning and policy-making and assists in allocating the UW's financial and physical resources. The site includes fact-based analyses of state-proposed budgetary impacts on the University of Washington.
• UW BillTracker
  Managed by UW Office of Planning and Budgeting, this database tracks state bills of particular interest to UW, and indicates the UW’s position on the bill.

Government Resources

• Washington State Legislature
  The official Web site of the Washington State Senate and House of Representatives. Includes information about bills, committee activity and various ways of subscribing to legislative updates.
• Bill Information
  A part of the Washington State Legislature site that can be used to track activity on bills introduced in either house.
• Higher Education Coordinating (HEC) Board
  Official Web site of the 10-member citizen board that administers the state of Washington's student financial aid programs and provides strategic planning, coordination, monitoring and policy analysis for higher education in Washington.
