University of Washington 150th Anniversary Alumni Directory
We are pleased to announce the creation of the official University of Washington 150th Anniversary Alumni Directory, issued by our partner, Harris Connect. This beautiful hardcover alumni directory will contain thousands of photos, essays and listings submitted by your fellow alumni as well as pages in celebration of the UW’s 150-year history of growth from its humble beginnings in 1861 as the Territorial University of Washington.
The directory is now complete and all orders have been received. Thanks to the thousands of alumni who updated their records! If you purchased a directory, it will be delivered in late February..
Although any changes you submit now will not make it into the directory, we always welcome your updated information.

Washington 150th Anniversary Alumni Directory Formats
Both hardbound and softbound editions of the University of Washington 150th Anniversary Alumni Directory were created. A CD-ROM version was also available for purchase either individually or combined with the print version.
In addition to a beautiful 10-page full color, high quality editorial section showcasing UW and a directory of alumni, alumni information will be featured in two sections of the directory.
- Through the Years - This section will feature alumni-submitted photos.
- Class Year/Biographical Section – This section will feature alumni-submitted personal essays of up to 300 words or 1600 characters.

Who is Harris Connect?
We've partnered with Harris Connect to produce our directory. Harris Connect has been an industry leader for nearly 50 years and we are confident that this publication will meet the needs of our constituents.
Why did Harris Connect contact me even though I completed my online questionnaire?
We've asked Harris Connect to contact everyone via email, mail and/or phone; primarily to make absolutely sure that the data we have is current. You would be surprised how many people change jobs or move between the time they complete an online questionnaire and the time the directory is ready to print. This is also your opportunity to purchase a copy of the directory.
If my name is listed in the directory, am I obligated to purchase a copy?
Although everyone will be given the opportunity to purchase his or her own copy of the directory, your name will be listed regardless of whether you decide to purchase a copy.
What happens if I don't order a directory now, but change my mind later?
We arranged to print as many directories as are ordered before we went to press. Unfortunately, the deadline for ordering a directory as passed.
If I place an order using a credit or debit card, how will be charge appear on my statement?
The transaction will either appear as HC University of Washington or Harris Connect University of Washington, depending on the type of card used.
What if I decide I want to cancel the order I have placed?
- If you want to cancel before the book has shipped: Call Harris Connect's Customer Service at 1-800-877-6554.
- If you want to cancel after product has shipped: There is a 30 day money back guarantee from the date of receipt. The product purchase price will be refunded if publication is returned within the 30 day period. If the carton is unopened, product can be returned without additional postage – write "return to sender." If carton has been opened, customer will be responsible for postage fees to return. Can also call Customer Service for additional options. The product can be returned to Publication Office, 1400-A Crossways Blvd, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
Questions about the CD Product
What if I don't understand how to use the CD once it is installed?
Basic operating instructions are included on the CD sleeve. The CD also comes with an easy-to-use help system providing tips on searching the database and customizing the screens.
What kind of computer do I need to use the CD?
The CD will work on most PC and MAC computers.
Will I be able to print anything?
You are able to print individual records as well as pages from the editorial section.
Is tech support available?
A toll-free call or email is all it takes to obtain technical assistance. Tech support is available Monday-Friday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST. Tech Support and Customer Service numbers are included on the CD sleeve.
Is my information protected?
Yes, all personal information contained on the CD is encrypted and can only be viewed inside the Search Party application. The encryption has never been compromised. The data CDs are designed so that no one can download the data from the CD en masse. You may only view one constituent's information at a time.
