Transitioning from Student to Job Seeker
Interviews can be scary — especially when they include questions like the dreaded, “Tell me about yourself.” Be a standout to employers and tell them what they really want to know: how you are valuable to them! Learn how to highlight your strengths and demonstrate what you know about their company. This workshop will give you practice marketing yourself by participating in mini mock interviews with young alumni. Come prepared with your resume.

Come before the workshop starting at 11 a.m. or stay after the workshop until 2:45 p.m. and get a free professional headshot for LinkedIn. Experts will review your profile to make sure you’re making the right first impression.

Alumni “Ask Me Anything”
Find the young alumni who can answer your burning questions. Young alumni working in companies and organizations like Starbucks, Boeing, Seattle Office of Civil Rights and Columbia Hospitality, representing a variety of fields and career paths, will be available. Career paths include young alumni who went to grad school right away, those who didn’t know what they wanted to do after graduation, those who are in a job that has nothing to do with their major, those who have used networking to find jobs and more.
