General Information

The contract airfares listed below end March 31, 2002. The last day to purchase tickets is March 31, 2002. All travel must be completed by April 30, 2002.
Fares are listed by "City Pair". They are for a one-way flight in either direction.
Domestic fares include all applicable federal, state, and local taxes. Fares DO NOT include Passenger Facility Charge (XF) or Segment Fees (ZP).
International route fares are the basic fare (i.e. the air carrier's price for service) exclusive of taxes and fees.
If a city pair is not listed, the contract requirements and provisions do not apply.
"YCAWA" is the fare basis code for State of Washington unrestricted contract fares.
Unrestricted airfares (YCAWA) are shown in the third column. No restrictions apply (i.e., no advance purchase necessary, no minimum length of stay, no refund restrictions, etc.) YCAWA fares are applicable for all available seats on a given flight in coach class. Contract carriers will not discriminate against any State travelers in favor of higher fare tickets paid by other travelers on any given flight on any given seat or block of tickets.
Restricted airfares are shown in the fourth column and have capacity-control restrictions only. No other restrictions apply.

Under a law passed in 1990 and administered by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), United States airports can be authorized to charge a Passenger Facility Charge (tax code on ticket is "XF") to finance airport-related projects. The maximum authorized charge is $4.50 per departure, with a maximum allowable total charge of $18.00 round trip per ticket. Since this is an airport charge and the airline is merely a collection agent, it has not been calculated into published fares at this time and is therefore in addition to the state contract fares.
