Chapter 478–118 WAC: Parking and Traffic Rules of the University of Washington,
Tacoma
WAC 478–118–010: Objectives of parking and traffic rules.

The objectives of these rules are:
| (1) |
To protect and control pedestrian and vehicular
traffic on the campus of the University of Washington, Tacoma;
|
| (2) |
To assure access at all times for emergency vehicles and
equipment;
|
| (3) |
To minimize traffic disturbances;
|
| (4) |
To facilitate the operation of the university by assuring
access to its vehicles;
|
| (5) |
To allocate limited parking space for the most efficient
use;
|
| (6) |
To protect state property; and
|
| (7) |
To encourage travel to the campus by means other than a
single occupancy vehicle (SOV). |
