Equipment Insurance System transitioned to distributed authorization management via ASTRA.
Current authorizations automatically transferred over.
Allows campus units to manage access by adding authorizations and budgets without waiting for Risk Management to respond
Authorizations may be limited by organization code or budget.
If you encounter problems related to ASTRA, check with the ASTRA authorizer for your unit. If you do not know who your ASTRA authorizer is, contact astra@u.washington.edu. If you encounter problems with the Equipment Insurance System, contact rmequip@u.washington.edu.
No rate or deductible changes for 2007-2008.
Laptops insured under Domestic Coverage are insured for travel worldwide. Additional Foreign Coverage no longer required.
Equipment located in Hawaii & Puerto Rico is covered under the Domestic Policy.
No coverage for transit to/from Hawaii or Puerto Rico under either Domestic or Foreign Policy. Contact Risk Management for coverage options
Foreign Transit limit increased from $100,000 to $300,000. For transits exceeding that amount, contact Risk Management
Countries under US trade sanctions excluded from coverage.
