How to Purchase Computing Equipment

The purchasing department will be your gateway to buying all types of computing equipment. We will facilitate your computing equipment purchase in a variety of ways, depending on the cost of the item that you wish to purchase. Contact a buyer with questions.

If your purchase is:

• Less than $3000
  You may make your purchase by a campus confirming order process.
• $3,001 to $100,000
  The purchasing department will assist you in your purchase, usually through an informal bid.
• Greater than $100,000
  The purchasing department will make your purchase through a formal bid.
• Sole Source greater than $10,000
  The purchasing department can place a sole source order directly without competition when there is only one company that can supply the items you need.
