The UW format is somewhat more contemporary in appearance and designed to meet departmental and individual unit needs that may be more promotional in nature.
The signature: The University name set in the Gill Sans typeface and
combined in the proper relationship with the University mark is called
the signature.

University Seal Style:
The University Seal style is more traditional incorporating the official University seal.
The seal: The University seal is the official legal seal of the
University. Its intended use is for authenticating signatures on
documents issued or authorized by the Board of Regents and the Office
of the President. The seal is intended to be reserved for diplomas,
formal University correspondence, and official documents and
publications.

UW Medical Center Letterhead:
The UWMC format is designed to meet departmental unit needs that are
client-oriented. Elements of the design include the UWMC logo and the text set in Goudy typeface.
The UWMC Logo: The UWMC logo and text format were designed by the UWMC Marketing Department, set in Goudy typeface and combined to express the proper relationship between the University of Washington and the Medical Center.

Suggested Letter Format:
University stationery was designed to use the block style. Begin each
line flush left with no indention for paragraphs. The date, inside
address, and the closing should also be flush left. Use only black
toner or ribbon for imprinting.
