Envelope Styles:
NOTE: the UW Signature Columns style is no longer available for use. The University of Washington has undergone a logo/graphic restructuring initiated by President Emmert. This restructuring grew out of concerns that multiple logos were in use to represent the University. In creating a stronger identity, the University chose to invest in a mark that has been a symbol of the institution since 1902 — the block W logo. This logo has been updated with the addition of a wordmark, creating a signature logo system that is flexible for a wide range of use.
W Style
The new UW Signature Style envelope incorporates the block W logo with the addition of a wordmark.
The basic elements of the envelope include:
The block W: The University logo has been the symbol of the UW since 1902 and is the foundation of the signature logo system.
Wordmark: The University Wordmark was designed using a combination of two fonts. Specific attention was given to letterspacing and presentation - for print as well as electronic communications - therefore the font has been modified. This modification means the University Wordmark is no longer a font but a graphic element, and must remain as such to ensure its integrity.

The UWMC format is designed to meet departmental unit needs that are
client-oriented. Elements of the design include the UWMC logo and the text set in Goudy typeface.
The UWMC Logo: The UWMC logo and text format were designed by the UWMC Marketing Department, set in Goudy typeface and combined to express the proper relationship between the University of Washington and the Medical Center.
