Screens

A screen is a printing term for an area of your publication that is printed with a lighter shade of ink used elsewhere in the publication. The example shown here is a grey box used to highlight some special text. The grey ink used is actually just black ink lightened to that grey shade. Black ink has been used for text elsewhere in this publication. Using screens can make a publication look even more colorful or dynamic without the expense of adding another color of ink to the process.
