Where is the Mail I'm Expecting?

Delivery of mail can be delayed if a campus address is incomplete. A valid box number is required to send items through the campus mail system. Also, mail for off-campus medical centers requires the receiver's department and specific internal routing information in addition to the medical center's campus box number.

If you are expecting some mail and it appears there is a delay in its delivery, check with the sender to see what address they sent it to and whether or not they included a mail box number. Then contact Mailing Services.

Mail Box Numbers

To arrange for a new box number for delivery of your mail, contact a Mailing Services manager. To find the box number for a University department or staff or faculty member, use the UW web directories.
