Postal Rate Changes for June 30, 2002

Due to a decrease in mail volume since the events of September 11, 2001 and the slowdown of the economy, the Postal Rate Commission has received approval to raise postal rates. The date for the increase is June 30, 2002.

New rates include:

1 oz. letter	.37¢
Postcard	.23¢
Non-profit	+8 percent on average
