Course Packs: Information for Faculty
Course Packs used by professors as an instructional tool in the classroom are produced on campus by Copy Services. These Course Packs are then sold to students at The University Book Store. Copy Services can accept originals (hard copy) or electronic files for producing your course packs. If You Have Original Materials (books, journals): You will need to compile all of your proposed course pack materials in sequential order. This would include all books, journals, papers, etc. Include a table of contents and bibliography for these items. Mark all pages to be produced with Post-It notes or paper clips. Please note that the quality of your course pack is dependent on the quality of the original materials we receive. If You have Electronic Files: You will need to create a master file with a sequential list of the electronic documents, a table of contents and bibliography of all the materials to be printed in your course pack. Include this file when you send everything to your Copy Center. If you have questions, accelerated deadlines or other requirements, you can reach the Copyright Permissions Center at 206-685-7969.
