What is the Fleet Services?
Fleet Services provides vehicle services in support of the University of Washington. We achieve our mission through exceptional customer service, competitive pricing, entrepreneurial spirit, and sustainable business practices.Vehicle mileage and rental rates are adjusted annually to reflect the cost of operations, new vehicle acquisition, and vehicle maintenance. We are a self-sustaining organization and rental rates are set at a level that recovers only the cost of doing business. Our goals for 2007 include continuous customer service and operational excellence that improves accountability, competitiveness, produces cost savings and achieves environmentally sustainable results.
I've Never Used Fleet Services before.
If you are a University staff, student or faculty member, you may rent a vehicle for official University business. All you need is a UW NET ID and a six digit budget number from your department. When you click here for the first time you are signing in as a new user and will be prompted to agree to Fleet Services policies and then be directed to our reservations page. You are also required to review Fleet Services Program Procedures.
What type of vehicle can I rent?
We have a large fleet of vehicles ranging from small compact hybids all the way up to 12 passenger vans and 4x4 vehicles.
Where are you located?
We are located at 4549 25th Ave NE directly across from the west University Village entrance.
What if I want to rent a vehicle for a couple hours?
In 2005-06 Fleet Services introduced this exciting new car sharing program which allows easy access to rental vehicles. It is conveniently located on campus. These economically priced rental vehicles are now available for hourly rentals. The U-CAR program is dedicated to supporting the short term transportation needs of the UW community for education, research, outreach and business.
