ARRA Jobs @ UW

Human Resources is partnering with Finance and Facilities and the Office of Research to ensure that positions funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) can be filled as quickly as possible, while ensuring overall compliance with the Act's monitoring and reporting requirements. Learn more about ARRA funding at the UW.

Human Resources has established a team of HR staff dedicated to quickly filling ARRA-funded positions. Most ARRA-funded staff positions will be research-related and are expected to meet the research exemption for placement in the UW Professional Staff Program. Some forms ask you to identify ARRA-funded positions. There are two reasons for this: 1) To ensure that the ARRA hiring team is alerted to your position; and, 2) To make sure that we comply with ARRA funding requirements.

Human Resources is creating specialized candidate banks in UWHIRES to enable candidates to submit application materials without waiting for a specific requisition to open. The candidate banks will help us identify individuals with required skill sets and quickly make referrals of qualified candidates.
