Learn the warning signs and how to respond in a free 50 minute briefing session. Open to students, faculty and staff. Sessions are scheduled throughout Autumn Quarter.

Contract Classified Staff

UW employees in positions that are governed by a labor contract that specifies the terms and conditions of employment.

Classified Non-Union Staff

UW employees in positions covered by Washington State Department of Personnel civil service rules.

Professional Staff

UW employees in non-academic positions exempted from civil service rules and instead covered by the UW’s Professional Staff Program.

Temporary Appointments

UW employs staff in a variety of temporary appointments that are limited in the number of hours or months that may be worked in a specified 12-month period.
