Catalyst is a university program that provides web based tools that are geared to support learning, but are available to faculty and non faculty alike. Catalyst offers courses in areas that support web based learning and teaching.

The ASUW Experimental College is not University operated but it offers access to courses that may be of personal or professional interest.
The UW Women's Center each year offers over 300 continuing education classes, workshops, and lectures that are available to the campus greater community. Classes are priced to be affordable, and include categories such as academic success, creative arts, personal enrichment, professional eevelopment,foreign languages and travel, writing and writers, financial success, and health, wellness and fitness
As part of the University's commitment to staff professional development Release Time of up to 24 hours per quarter is available for staff to participate in Professional & Organizational Development programs. Please consult with your supervisor regarding departmental processes for using release time.
The UW offers a state authorized Tuition Exemption Program to assist employees in furthering their education. This program is available to faculty, professional and classified staff employees who work 50% or more. Participation is on a space-available basis. Release time for participation in the Tuition Exemption Program is at the discretion of the department head or designee.
