The Disability Services Office (DSO) serves individuals with disabilities who are part of the University community, including UW employees who need a work place accommodation to perform their job, those needing accommodation to attend a scheduled university function, or non-matriculated students who need accommodation to take courses on campus or in extended study.
The DSO can provide disabled UW employees with technical assistance to help them get their jobs done. Employees can also contact their Human Resources Consultant or their supervisor to discuss their accommodation needs.
The DSO provides accommodations such as large print programs or sign language interpreters for campus events. Persons needing such accommodation should notify the DSO at least ten days prior to the event, at 206-543-6450 voice, 206-543-6452 TTY, or dso@u.washington.edu.
