Project Management for the Non–Project Manager (Q1350)

Even those of us who aren't technically project managers actually manage a variety of one-time and recurring projects from start to finish, whether that's coordinating a conference, overseeing a process improvement effort, or producing an annual report. This workshop demystifies the jargon and charts of project management and gives participants concepts and tools they can use in their next project.

This workshop covers the basic concepts of project management: defining the project, identifying who is involved and how, making a timeline, dealing with risk and uncertainty, and tracking progress to completion. Participants explore project management concepts through practical exercises based on their needs and interests.
