Description:

A common source of frustration in the workplace is feeling powerless within the team. Many people would like to have more influence with both peers and supervisors but aren’t sure how to make it happen. The key is to recognize that, while you may not be in charge of everything at work, you can be in charge of yourself.  Participants in this interactive course examine their usual approach to interoffice partnerships to determine whether it is working to their best advantage. This course covers the principles of “managing up” by exploring sources of power and trust and developing strategies for working interdependently with leadership. In addition, participants learn how to best partner with bosses and colleagues to achieve shared goals.
