Description:
Health care teams are frequently under great pressure, and conflict makes difficult situations even more challenging. This interactive course is designed especially for patient care professionals and support staff to help develop more effective skills in dealing with tension, discord, and difficult behavior. Participants assess their preferred styles regarding conflict, and gain practical tips and tools to augment their coping methods. Discussion applies this learning to participants’ own clinical, office, or laboratory scenarios, so that participants can readily employ down-to-earth scripts and techniques from class.
NOTE: Continuing education credit for nurses completing this program is provided by University of Washington Medical Center Nursing Staff Development. Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 15474 for 4.6 contact hours.
