Learn about common payroll processes regarding employment at the UW from initial hire to separation. This course touches on OPUS, time reporting, overpayments and underpayments, Reporting Services, tax reporting, and Employee Self-Service. It provides a general overview of these processes; it is not intended to be an in-depth, hands-on training. Pre-class reading and an online quiz are required. Materials are available online approximately one week prior to classroom session.
NOTE: Some payroll processes at UWMC and HMC differ greatly from those at the Seattle, Bothell, and Tacoma campuses and therefore may not be accurately represented in this course.
To successfully complete this course, participants must read the course materials and complete the quiz prior to attending the classroom session; course materials and quiz are available on the Payroll Website. Participants should bring the completed quiz to class.
