Foundations of Fiscal Reporting (Q0090)

This course provides a basic overview of the UW’s financial accounting system. If you have little or no experience with financial accounting systems, wish to review or improve your fiscal skills, or are pursuing the certificate in UW Fiscal Management, then this course is for you. Participants strengthen their understanding of object/sub-object codes, organizational codes, encumbrances, liquidations, and the characteristics of budget types. A brief demonstration of the MyFinancial.desktop application is also presented. Upon completion of the class, participants will have the necessary resources, tools, and guidelines to help their departments be fiscally responsible.

This course is part of the Fiscal Management Certificate.
