Description:
This course emphasizes the foundations for effective communication in the workplace. Participants increase awareness of verbal and non-verbal behaviors, perform a listening skills self-assessment, practice techniques to enhance listening skills, and explore the filters that influence how we perceive information. Class activities include identifying and practicing effective means to express messages with diplomacy, role playing, and creating individual action plans to focus on particular communication skills that need work.
