WPV01: Violence Prevention

Description:

Preventing violence is everyone's responsibility. If you're concerned, tell someone. This 50 minute session provides an overview of the signs of and appropriate responses to potentially violent individuals and situations. It gives you specifics on what behaviors to be aware of (i.e. signs of increased distress in individuals), who to call when faced with imminent or potential threats, and what to do in a dangerous situation. Campus policies and resources related to preventing and dealing with campus violence will also be addressed. This session is also available as a custom training to departments. Please contact safecampus@u.washington.edu if you are interested in a departmental presentation.
