Description:

Cover all four Career Transition Workshop topics in one day! This full-day session provides you with an integrative approach to conducting an effective job search. You'll begin by assessing your strengths and then apply this knowledge to networking, writing resumes and cover letters, and interviewing.

By participating in this workshop, you will:

  • Learn the four essential job search steps and develop a job search plan.
  • Explore how your strengths can be used in any job or field of interest.
  • Discover how to create and cultivate contacts (even if you are an introvert!).
  • Understand different application systems and resume formats.
  • Be able to use the most important job search tool to your advantage.
  • Practice three ways to communicate your strengths to employers.
  • Learn how to ace an interview, including an overview of common interview types and methods for answering the most popular and difficult interview questions.
