Meet representatives from Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Puget Sound Affiliate, and Alzheimer's Association of Western and Central Washington, all members of Community Health Charities of Washington. Did you know that more than 4,000 women in Washington State will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year? During these tough economic times, the demand for no-cost healthcare services has increased. The Puget Sound Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure is helping to address these issues by providing education on the importance of early detection of breast cancer, breast cancer screening, and support for women as they navigate through the breast cancer treatment process. Alzheimer's Association of Western and Central Washington's mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research, provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
