This monthly three-hour workshop covers the following topics:

• Retirement eligibility
• Notifying your department of your retirement
• Contacting your fund sponsor(s)
• Retiree medical plan choices and enrollment
• Applying for Social Security and/or Medicare
• Working after retirement
• Leave balances and VEBA if applicable.

Who should attend: Faculty, librarians, and professional staff who are participating in the UW Retirement Plan (UWRP) and expect to retire within the next 12 months. NOTE: Spouses and partners are welcome to attend this workshop on a space-available basis. Please contact benefits@uw.edu to register your spouse/partner. Small class size allows for individual assistance.
