Coordinates policy implementation and development with other departments and institutions. Provides detailed reports, analyses and forecasts. 2012 Job Summary: Provide supervision and management of an institutional environmental health and safety program, such as prevention and assessment inspections for the institution's facilities; industrial hygiene services, chemical hazards consultation, hazardous waste disposal services, radiation safety operations, and compliance with occupational health and safety and environmental mandates. Oversees environmental health and safety program for designated functional area. Hires and supervises industrial hygienists and other health and safety staff. Ensures compliance with all applicable environmental health and safety regulations. Performs environmental health assessment of laboratories, shops and other areas with a focus on high risk areas.

Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in public health, industrial hygiene, engineering, physical science, life science or related field and four years of experience in a safety, inspection, audit, quality assurance/control or related position.

2012 Job Summary: On behalf of the client, manages the planning, design, procurement, construction, and acceptance of multiple major public works projects of $5 million and up with a complexity level of healthcare, laboratory or historical renovation. Projects include construction of new buildings and/or major building additions, renovations and remodels and/or utilities projects such as overall power system improvements and emergency power system upgrades.
Reports to: Director of Capital Projects
Qualifications: Typically requires certification as a registered architect or engineer in Washington State and five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
