2.1 The parties individually agree that they will not engage in any act or practice or pursue any policy which is discriminatory against any employee who may be a qualified disabled individual or a disabled veteran, Vietnam era veteran or other covered veteran or because of age, sex, (except where sex or age is a bonafide occupational qualification), sexual orientation, marital status, race, national origin, color, creed, religion, political beliefs, gender identification, or membership in a labor organization. Sexual harassment shall be considered discrimination.
2.2 Employees are encouraged to raise complaints of unlawful discrimination through internal prescribed University complaint procedures (Operations Manual D46.3). Employees may also seek relief through the appropriate local, state or federal agency charged with investigating such matters. Such complaints shall not be subject to the Grievance Procedure of this Agreement.
