1.1 Pursuant to RCW 41.80 this Agreement is made by and between the Board of Regents of the University of Washington, hereinafter referred to as the "Employer" and the University of Washington Police Officers Association, hereinafter referred to as the "Association."
1.2 Recognition - In accordance with the Department of Personnel Certification issued November 28, 1994, the Employer recognizes the Association as the sole and exclusive bargaining representative for all Campus Police Officers of the University of Washington for the purpose of representation and collective bargaining.
1.3 Negotiations - The Employer agrees to recognize the Association's negotiating team as the sole negotiator for the Association and will discuss contract proposals only with members of that negotiating team.
