A: Yes. These personnel files with employment information such as ASE performance evaluations and appointment letters need to be maintained separately from academic files. The files may be located together for convenience but academic and employment documents cannot be commingled. Personnel Files- Article 21, Section 1.
A: ASE personnel files, as with other personnel files, should be maintained in a location that is not accessible to the general public and in which the confidentiality of the files can be maintained. As a reminder the contract requires that "A notice specifying the location of the official personnel file(s) shall be posted in each Department or comparable unit".
