Section 1. The basic salary schedule for each member in the bargaining unit shall be that which from time to time is established by the Higher Education Personnel Board. It is understood that the Higher Education Personnel Board approved schedule includes a fifteen per cent (15%) "sea pay" which will be computed in accordance with past practice.
Section 2. Prior to the formation of suggestions and policy on salary survey results, the Employer shall discuss them with the Union for the purpose of attempting to make a joint statement to the Higher Education Personnel Board, if agreement can be reached.
Section 3. The Union shall notify the Employer of any intention to challenge the Employer's salary recommendations, in order to discuss the reasons for such challenge prior to consideration by the Board.
