Temporary Employment Opportunities at the University of Washington

The UTemp Staffing Program provides temporary employment services throughout the University of Washington to departments seeking qualified temporary staff. Discover a great place to work while you explore the variety of UW employment opportunities in healthcare, technology, facilities, research, and administration.

UTemp positions are limited in duration–ranging from a half day to several months–and cover situations such as special projects and events, workflow peaks, unscheduled absences, scheduled leaves or vacations, and pending recruitments.

UTemp Staffing is currently* seeking applicants in the following areas:

  • Administrative Support and Office Management (intermediate to advanced computer proficiency preferred)
  • Accounting and Fiscal (bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, billing, budget analysis, UW financial systems)
  • Trades and Light Industrial

UTemp Staffing also regularly* seeks applicants in the following areas:

  • Entry-level office support (some computer proficiency desired but not required; filing, reception, multi-line phones)
  • Data processing (data entry, transcription)
  • Healthcare (various office support and patient services, medical records)
  • Research (laboratory assistance, grant coordination, and program support)
  • Information Systems (software and hardware support, helpdesk, development)
  • General Services (various hospitality and customer service, event preparation, ushering, cashiering)
