UW NetID Login and Confidentiality

UW employees use their UW NetID to access job postings.

Information will be recorded about your candidate profile and job applications only; job searching and viewing activites are unrecorded and completely confidential.

Need a UW NetID?

If you have not created your UW NetID yet, go to the UW NetID web page for information and to create your UW NetID (new browser window will open).

Why Use the UW Employee Portal

  • UW employees are provided with a candidate profile that has been started for them. The profile includes basic contact and employment information. As with other UW systems, access to your personal profile is protected by your UW NetID and password.
  • Logging in to the UW Employee Portal with the UW NetID ensures that that the employment system properly identifies UW employees who submit an application. This guarantees that UW employees receive any promotional preference to which they may be entitled. Employees who apply for jobs through the external candidate site will not be identified in the system as a UW employee.

Note: Your UW NetID password will not work on the external candidate login page. You will receive a message advising you that the login and password are incorrect. To login, go to the Employee Portal.

Employees who have questions about the use of the NetID should contact the Help Desk at: uwhires@u.washington.edu
