LTC insurance provides a broad range of medical, personal, and social services for people who are unable to care for themselves over a relatively long period of time. Long term care offers insurance for support and services that typically neither your medical or long term disability insurances will cover.
LTD insurance replaces a portion of an employee's income if he/she is unable to work due to illness or injury. The LTD optional plan for PEBB employees includes a retirement supplement feature, so the premium rate is determined by both the selected waiting period and the retirement plan, if any, in which the employee participates.
