DeltaCare is a managed care dental plan administered by Washington Dental Service. DeltaCare provides comprehensive benefits from a network of participating dentists. With the DeltaCare plan, you must select a participating dentist, and you must remain with your chosen dentist for a specified length of time. You must also see your DeltaCare participating primary care dentist to be referred to specialist. You receive minimal or no benefits if you receive care from a nonparticipating dentist. The dental premiums are 100% paid for by the University of Washington. You may be responsible for copayments for each visit and for certain services. For a schedule of copayments and additional information on the plan, see the DeltaCare Plan Booklet.
Washington Dental Service administers a number of different plans. To find a participating dentist you can use the plan’s participating dentist search tool. In the search tool there are several fields in which you enter information to customize your search. In the search field labeled "In A Certain Plan Or Network" there is a list of plans to select from. Scroll down the list until you find DeltaCare and then under DeltaCare select "PEBB (group 3100)". This will ensure that the dentists the search tool presents are plan participants.
