Special Open Enrollment - Student

When subscriber's dependent (age 20 through 23) becomes an eligible student

Options Actions
If you previously waived medical coverage, you must:
  • Enroll yourself in medical to add the newly eligible dependent to medical and/or dental.

Within 60 days of the first day of the month of the quarter/semester in which the student is enrolled, submit these forms to the Benefits Office:

If you are already enrolled, you can:
  • Enroll newly eligible dependent in medical and/or dental.
  • Change your medical and/or dental plan provided you enroll the newly eligible dependent.
  • Waive medical for yourself, and medical and/or dental for your eligible dependent, provided that they have other comprehensive group coverage.

Within 60 days of the first day of the month of the quarter/semester in which the student is enrolled, submit these forms to the Benefits Office:

Coverage Begins
  • Coverage and/or plan change begins on the first day of the month of the quarter/semester that the student is registered.
