There are other reimbursable ways to travel besides commerical
airlines
and cars. However, it is your responsibility to
select transportation options that are most economical to the University.
You are reimbursed for:
Special cases:

Piloted aircraft
(either rented or privately owned) must be authorized in
advance by the Washington State Department of Transportation
Aeronautics Commission and the Purchasing Department. Mileage
is reimbursed at $1.07/nautical
mile (effective 1/1/05-current) based on
the NOAA Airways
Charts. Approval must be in the
Travel Office
prior to your trip.

Charter aircraft
(including fixed wing and helicopters) are contracted through
the Purchasing Department and are not considered part of the
travel process.

contracted with the University. You may use your CTA or they may direct bill your
department with a purchase order.

Vehicle rentals originating in the Seattle area for authorized drivers/
passengers and other rental agencies
for
visitors.
Offers hourly vehicle rentals for employees with a valid UWNet ID.
Offers discount for
U-Pass holders. The following
are methods in paying or seeking reimbursement for Zipcar.

offered only at Lander, McMahon, Mercer or Terry hall.
