The
2009 Domestic Per Diem schedule (use the pull down menu) is
developed by the U.S.
General Services Administration. The rates are effective based on the
Federal Government fiscal year which is October through September
instead of the calendar year.
Lodging allowance rates are room rates only
excluding taxes. Compare the actual room rate
only to the lodging allowance rate when preparing the TEV.
If the actual room rate only is equal or under the lodging allowance rate,
you may claim the actual room rate plus taxes without an
exception.
The daily maximum amount for lodging is $70 for
all standard locations within the continental USA (1)
, except for those identified as high cost locations.
Use this county code
search when the city is not listed and to identify if the city
is in a high cost county. If the city is not in a high cost county, use
the standard rates of $70 for lodging and $39 for meals.
The daily maximum amount for meals is $39 for all standard
locations within the continental USA (1),
except for those identified as high cost locations.
The University of Washington is not required to follow the "75% of the
total
per diem rate on the first and last day of travel" rule and the "meals and
incidental expenese (M & IE)" breakdown listed on the U.S. General
Services
Administration website.
Use the meal rates breakdown below which already includes the incidental
rates.
