University travelers should try to rent from Enterprise under the State of Washington contract. This contract provides coverage if the rental vehicle is damaged and liability coverage. This coverage applies regardless of the method of payment for the rental vehicle. Damage exceeding these limits are covered by the University of Washington's liability program which provides coverage for property damage or bodily injury to other party or parties only excluding damage to the rental vehicle.

*Pursuant to RCW 28b.20.253 and .255, the University will provide legal defense and indemnification for employees acting within the course and scope of their duties and volunteer workers and students while acting at the direction or request of the University. Coverage for injuries to UW employees is provided through Labor and Industries (workers compensation). Injuries to non-UW individuals and students should be submitted to their personal health insurance companies.
