List of Contract Airfares
- The
last day to purchase tickets is March 31, 2009. All travel must
be completed by April 30, 2009.
- Contract fares are listed by "City Pair" and the
specific contract airline for a one-way flight in either direction.
- For example, the only contract between
Seattle and Portland, OR is with United (UA) for
$89
one-way. No
other airline has the state contract between this city
pair.
- Domestic fares include all applicable federal, state, and
local taxes. Fares DO NOT include Passenger
Facility Charge (XF), Segment Fee (ZP) and September 11th
Security Fee.
- International route fares are the basic fare (i.e. the air
carrier's price for service) exclusive of taxes and fees.
- If a city pair is not listed, the contract requirements and
provisions do not apply.
- "YCAWA" is the fare basis code for State of Washington
unrestricted contract fares. Multiple airports
may have the airport code attached to "YCAWA" e.g. Washington D.C.
Dulles - YCAWAIAD.
- No restrictions apply (i.e. no advance purchase
necessary, no minimum length of stay, no refund
restrictions, etc.) YCAWA fares are applicable for all
available seats on a given flight in coach class. Contract
carriers will not discriminate against any State travelers
in favor of higher fare tickets paid by other travelers on
any given flight on any given seat or block of
tickets.
Fares are subject to additional charges including a Passenger
Facility Charge ranging from ($2-$18), Federal Segment Fees of $3
per segment (defined as a takeoff and a landing) and September
11th Security Fee (maximum of $5 one way or $10 round trip).
International fares are also subject to taxes/fees up to $113.
Since these are airport charges and the airline is merely a
collection agent, it has not been calculated into published fares
at this time and is therefore in addition to the state contract
fares. However, fuel surcharges, if applicable, are included in
the fares listed.
