Silver Bins

Temporary Paper Cleanout Bins

Offices conducting large paper cleanouts or purges may request a temporary paper cleanout bin.

  • Paper cleanout bins are for paper only, not garbage or surplus property.
  • Unless you are putting paper in the bin, keep the lid closed to comply with fire codes.
  • For information on requesting delivery or pickup of a paper cleanout bin, see the Recycling Procedures page.
  • The location of the bin must not obstruct egress or present a fire hazard.
  • Monitor the bin's fullness and weight, especially if books are being recycled. It must be possible to move the bin easily.
  • Cleanouts should be completed as quickly as possible (no longer than 1 week).
