SCRAM: Student Moveout '08
|
Since 2004, UW students who live on campus have had the opportunity at the end of the school year to donate their unwanted clothing, books, food, and reusables to charitable organizations by taking part in SCRAM. This year from May 23 until June 14, students again have the opportunity to make a difference. SCRAM '08 is the combined efforts of UW Recycling, Housing and Food Services, Northwest Center, Food Lifeline and Real Change to target reusable materials, which all too often find their way into the garbage each year during moveout. SCRAM Donation Stations will be located at Hansee, McCarty, McMahon, Haggett, Terry, Lander, Mercer and Stevens Court. Each station consists of a SCRAM: STUDENT MOVEOUT tent and several clearly marked collection bins. Each location is serviced by UW staff and the staff of the charitable organizations participating in the event. Please note that any removal of materials from the Donation Stations or from the collection process is prohibited. All materials upon donation become the property of the University of Washington and are subject to disposition of state property regulations.
