Help with Document Search and Online Ordering
To research our document database and order scans or copies, start on any of our web pages and follow the left menu Document Search (FS-DOS) link.

After moving through the UWNetID page you come to the Document Search page. Here you will enter a simple search term to narrow down your document search. Generally that search will begin by searching on a facility. If you know the old facility number or the FacNum you would enter it in the center, Facility Number box. Otherwise, you could enter just a small part of the officially recognized facility name in the leftmost search box.

After clicking on the Search button you will see a listing of all facilities that contain your search term (i.e. if you searched on 126, the database will return 126, 1260, 1261, etc.). Select the Facility Number from this list that most closely matches your search criteria.

You will be taken to the Document Search Results page. This page will list all documents that match your search criteria. This page offers a lot of flexibility. From here you can...
- search document title block information
- sort the records on an individual column
- add additional columns to show revision information
- perform further filtering of your search results
- view/print/save scanned images of the documents
- save the search results to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
- order copies of documents

You will need to navigate down the page to see all of the rusults returned.

To order documents from our vault, you simply check the box to the left of the documents you need (no more than 50 per order)...

...then click the Add Selected Documents to Shopping Cart button at the top of the page.

After a brief delay, you are taken to the Shopping Cart. You will need to fill in contact information and EITHER a valid University of Washington Project Number OR a budget number. Please DO NOT fill in BOTH.

Any special instructions or additional information would go in the Special Instructions box. This is where you would tell us things like 'Please contact me when copies are ready', or 'Please staple'. Also in the Shopping Cart you want to verify you are ordering the correct number of copies and insure you have selected the correct Transaction Type from the list.
