Design Guide

The UW Information Technology portion of the campus-wide Design Guide includes a set of documents and drawings maintained as Microsoft Word and Autocad files. These design standards apply to all work on UW buildings and leased buildings. Designers and consultants working on projects involving UW facilities should use these documents and drawings in preparing project specifications.

Voice, Data, and Multimedia Communications

The documents below address nearly all voice, data, and multimedia requirements for projects that will connect to the University-wide network. Projects involving these requirements are coordinated by the UW Information Technology department.

Documents

These documents are made available in two forms; MS Word files and Acrobat PDF files. Consultants and designers developing project specifications should copy and work with the MS Word files. The other file type is provided to make it easier to read or view the documents. To view the Acrobat PDF files, obtain the Acrobat viewer from the Adobe Web Site.

FDI Standard Communications Drawings

These drawings are in two forms; low resolution graphics and AutoCAD files. The graphics are intended for viewing only and should not be used in project documentation. Consultants and designers developing project specifications should copy and work with the AutoCAD files.
